On December 16, 2006, exactly 62 years after the start of the Battle of the Bulge, the ABC Association visited the Beech Tree of Chaumont.
ABC Association were on their way to Bastogne when we met them near Remoiville when they were driving on the same road as Combat Command Reserve (CCR) that broke through the German lines at Assenois, on December 26, 1944 at 16:50 hours.


The Jeep on this picture is exactly located on the same place where the original
Jeep of a Reconnaissance Group was hit
on December 23, 1944 (see picture below)

Three US GIs were killed
On the picture, one can see a group of US halftracks belonging to the 4th
Armored Division of General George S. Patton's Third Army
