Dearest Companion

Dearest Companion was 'the band before' Think Of One, with Gabor Humble (who later founded Humble Grumble), Tom Theuns, David Bovee, Buni Lenski and Boris De Handschutter. They toured in Belgium and Switzerland. I think they sounded a lot like Think Of One's Juggernaut but I'm not sure about that.

Gabor told me a story about the first time he met David: he was looking for a drummer for his new band Dearest Companion, and Tom Theuns told him he knew somebody. They went to a large house somewhere in Antwerp, rang, and David opened the door. Gabor asked "are you the drummer?" but David didn't answer, instead he went upstairs; Gabor followed him. When he entered the room, there was an entire band set up, and they started playing "Jungle Booze", a song that would later turn up on the Think Of One Demo. That's the story!

If you have more stories, or even recordings, I would be very interested in hearing from you!
