1. The Project

In December 1999, I created the Planets Citizens. It's a musical project based on electronic music. I'm a musician and a composer. My styles are: ambient, soundtracks, electro, electro-pop and old school new wave. I'd like to have guests from all over the world : singers, musicians, story tellers... But the music is just a vehicle, a way to meet people from different cultures but with a similar naive goal : to build a better world where music is the link between the individuals.

In February 2007, I discovered Second Life (www.secondlife.com), a virtual world. More than 6 million users are registered from all over the world. It's perfect for the Planets Citizens Project. I have met a lot of interesting people and the Citizens community is growing more each week.

Today we have our own land and we can develop the project! We don't want to be the slaves of the music biz system! Geaven Gall made the thing possible. She built a commercial interface that gave us the freedom to not only record our music, but also to sell it and survive on Second Life, as well as in Real Life! Yes, music is my life, music is my job.

In the mid-80's, I started to make pro-music while I was  studying. A few years later, I got a "regular" job but never stopped composing. It gives me the force to go on. I have been signed by music companies like BMG, Indisc, Ars Entertainment, etc. My band even went on TV in Belgium. I have also worked  for comedians, humourists, directors by making soundtracks and music for theatre, short movies, and so on...

In 2005, I lost the job I had in Belgium. I was 40 years old. The company has been closed. So, I've decided to make music for a living! It's not easy because the music industry is going bad. But now, we have the tools to take our destiny in our hands... We are resistants and artists. We don't wanna be formatted. We don't want to get on our knees. We don't believe the culture in this world has to be the same for everybody! We don't think the major music companies have the ultimate good taste! Just take a look at what you get on the official radio and television stations... If you like it, it's great but I know a lot of people feel like they’re "marginals" because the music they like is not available. I've met great artists living like homeless people. Enough is enough! The music is about feelings, emotions... not only about tits, asses, cocks, Crystal Champagne and .... money.

We need you to prove to them that there's a place for everyone in this world! We need you to survive! We are music activists!

 2. The Places

·         GG Creations Shop : this is the shop of Geaven Gall. She is from Malaysia and without her, the Planets Citizens Project is technically impossible. She's a brilliant scripter, a true Citizen. She also collaborates on certain songs by writing texts and recording some voices (Wo Ai Ni, Room 69, etc.) In her shop, you can find media players (mp3, video, etc), tech gadgets, etc.!  3. The Staff

• Alexei Beaumont : founder of The Planets Citizens Project. He's a composer, a musician, a sound engineer and also a dj. Alexei comes from Belgium. (email Alexei)
• Heather Martynov : manager of the Citizens and the Club Therapy, she's also deejaying and participating very actively in the Project by proposing, organizing, and so on. She's a real PR (public relation) but also an excellent deejay and reporter on Planets Citizens Radio. But she's also a deep soul and a genuine person! Heather comes from Scotland.
• Geaven Gall : the brilliant scripter of the Citizens. But not only that. She's very active in the Project by developing new audio and video tools on SL. She works very hard! And she's also a nice voice on PCR (Planets Citizens Radio). Geaven comes from Malaysia.

 4. The Services

We work on SL but in RL too! So here come the different services brought to you by the Planets Citizens.

a) Sound Designing

• Jingles :  need a jingle for your radio or to announce your event? Ask us!
• Commercial ads :  own a shop in SL, in RL? Do you want your customers having audio information as soon as they enter your shop? Do you want to make real advertisements on RL or SL radios? We can create your commercials at a very low price. We can even program it on our Planets Citizens Radio!
• Atmosounds : do you own a land on SL and you need a special audio background, some sound effects, some soundscapes? Let us make the soundtrack of your Second Life!
• SL soundclips : need a sound for your poofer? Need in-world audio? You need it? We make it!

b) Orginal Music

• Soundtrack : you're a movie maker? a video creator? You need original music behind your creation. It's our job to create soundtracks!
• Music Letter : it's a new concept! You want to make a unique  gift to someone special? Record your own voice speaking your message, your poetry or your wishes for any event and then send your audio recording to us. We will make the background music. A soundtrack for your words. You don't wanna talk in the mic? :) ok, write the text and send it to us. We will be your voice! ;) Available in english and french, male and female voices.

c) DeeJays

• Private DJ : you've invited friends for a party at home (SL and RL)? You want to spend a cool moment with your partner, your lover, a special person? We can deejay for you and just for you. From 2 to 10 listeners, get your private deejay on an hourly rate.
• Event DJ : you host an event where you expect more than 10 persons? You want a deejay with a voice? Female or male, available in english and in french! Rent a Planets Citizens DeeJay!

d) Scripts and Objects

• Planets Citizens is not just about music, you know that. You need a script? A scripted object? A special technology? We have a brilliant scripter in the community! Her name is Geaven Gall. You really need it? She will really make it! Specialised in media players, music vendors, greeters, loggers, hi-tech... She will work for a fixed rate! IM her for more information!

 5. The Planets Citizens are searching for...

• Deejays all over the world : to play live on the Planets Citizens Radio (have your own show) (contact Alexei Beaumont)
• Voices (male and female) : be a guest on a Planets Citizens music track! All languages welcome! Read a local poetry, your own, a message to the world and send us your audio track. We will compose the music. (contact Alexei Beaumont)
• Studio musicians : record original loops of your instrument (all welcome) and send us your solo track. It could be included in a new Planets Citizens track. (contact Alexei Beaumont)
