Nostalgic Collection®

  • Created in 1991, Nostalgic Collection is a European Fair in Brussels that attracts collectors from 14 countries… including of course the United States and Japan.

  • This fair revolves around 3 main themes : old toys and dolls along with all kinds of toy metal soldiers (CBG, Britain, Mignot, Mim, Lucotte, Heyde,…) or made from other materials (Hausser, Lineol, Durso, BM, Incamin, Solido, Elastolin, Aludo, Quiralu, …), dolls (Bru, Jumeau, Kestner, S.F.B.J., Simon & Halbig, Steiner, Armand Marseille, Unica, …) and their environment (wardrobes, furniture, miniatures, dining sets, …) plush toys as soft as they are valuable (Steiff, Hermann, Schuco, …), board games (N.K., ……………………...) and wooden toys (Bois Manu, Fisher Price, ………………), toy robots (Roulet & Descamps, Vichy, Bontemps,…) etc.

  • Tin toys attract many fans, electric trains (Bing, Bub, Carette, Distler, Falk, Fleischmann, Issmayer, Ives, Jep, J de P, Jouef, Kraus, LR, Lionel, Märklin, Marx, Plank, Radiguet, Rossignol, Schoenner, Trix, Basset-Lowke, Rock & Granner, …) and cars in every possible scale (scale model cars make up 25 to 30% of all items on sale: Arnold, CIJ, Citroën, Corgi Toys, Dinky Toys, Einfalt, Fischer, Gundka, Günthermann, Hess, Joustra, Kellermann, Lesney, Huki, Gama, Matchbox, Mettoy, Orobr, Tipp & Co, Wells, Wiking,…), sought after productions made by the most prestigious toy makers – Märklin, Hornby, Bing, Lehmann and Meccano – but also more charming toys, circus big tops and all things circus-related (Blomer & Schuler, Eberl, Paya, Rico, Ingap, Vielmetter, Kohler, Lehmann, …), merry-go-rounds, little animated characters (Fernand Martin, Günthermann, Levy, Stock, Biller, Kellermann, Moko, Ebo, Mangold, …) and all sorts of piggy banks.

In the 1950’s, Japanese makers proved to be very innovative when producing animated toys. The first were exclusively made of lithographically printed stamped plate, the following were made of stamped plate and celluloid. The main producers were Alps, Asahi, Bandai, Haji, MT, SH, Taiyo, TN, TPS, Line Mar,…
Some of them produced the famous « Battery Toys ».

Like last year, the rarest items will be shown in display cases.

  • Nostalgic Collection is also an eagerly awaited meeting for all fans of old publicity items which, whatever the trends and the times, are increasingly sought after. Their value keeps rising not only in the eyes of collectors, but also of decorators who appreciate their unusual look.

  • Perfume bottles are the third theme: vials with all fragrances of temptation from the early times to the modern days, from all corners of the world.
