Storm Division VS GeneraLs
Map: Guardian (TDM)

Storm Division is an Belgian Xbox 360 gaming clan. The name 'Storm Division' is derived of the german 'Sturmabteilung', wich was the German assault force during WWII. We chose this name because our play style conforms with this name, we are tactical and aggressive gamers when we play shooters. 'Blitzkrieg' is a very accurate description for most of our matches.
Currently the clan has 6 members and focus mostly on FPS like Halo, wich is our main game. But we also play Call Of Duty, Gears Of War 2, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Unreal Tournament 3, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 2, F.E.A.R. 2, Team Fortress 2 and we will always join the fragfest in new games with similar gameplay.
Although we play First Person Shooters mostly, we are not shy of any other game types like Racers, Role Playing Games and Real Time Strategy games . Games include: Forza Motorsport 2, Dirt, GRID, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, Battlestations: Pacific, Blazing Angels 2, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, ...
Currently we are focusing on training against our own or other clans in Private environment so that we can get ourselves back up to competitive level. New ladder seasons start constantly at GameBattles and we will be signing up for a couple of ladders, including our primary game Call Of Duty along with others like Halo 3 etc. Since a new seasons means new challenges and new competitors we will need more training and practices. Our current schedule shall be altered as shown in the table below:
| Monday | Sports (Fifa 09/FM2) | ± 20h |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | Halo 3 Training | 20h - 22h |
| Wednesday | Call Of Duty | ± 20h |
| Thursday | Halo 3 Training | 20h - 22h |
| Friday | Hardcore (ET:QW/UT3) | ± 20h |
| Saturday | Match Day | All Day |
| Sunday | Gaming 4 Fun (Arcade/TF2) | Fun Day |
After extensively playing the Single player and Multiplayer of Call Of Duty 5: World At War, we must agree that even though Treyarch did better than CoD3 they still didn't get it quite right. The gameplay in CoD5 much resembles the gameplay in CoD4, but since you are in WWII setting the weapons are much more crappy. That added to the fact that maps are generally bigger than in the previous game results in a much more down tempo gameplay. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it will be a turn-off for many gamers since this was always what Call Of Duty stands for: quick, tactical gameplay.
There aren't many vehicles, basically you just have one type of tank, some diversity would have been welcome (like a flame tank or any other vehicle). Because the maps are really big like Seelow or Downfall the lack of other vehicles is a black hole in the gameplay. Also the ability to mantle a tank to disable it was removed, this seems to me like a missed opportunity since the vehicle gameplay isn't what made CoD3 a bad game.
The All-round bigger scale of the maps doesn't lend itself for the WWII era because of the weapon ranges, now if you were to do this in a modern type of setting it would work great. There are still some flaws in this game which add to the negative evaluation, like bad spawns and lag. Which leads us to the following conclusion, Call Of Duty: World At War is a nice improvement on Treyarch 's behalf, but it will not top the Infinity Ward game. As for the clan; CoD will still remain our primary game, but we will be looking for a new game fairly soon.

Currently we are focusing on teamwork and doing lot's of training during LAN parties we organize regularly. These take place at our homes, but are not open to public. We organize Public events at least twice a year. More info on those will be prompted in time, check the forums.
Our next LAN Party is planned for this summer on 11 July. It will take place in the same venue as our last Summer LAN Party, we will be aiming at 50 participants this time and when we have collected enough money from ticket sales we will be getting prizes for our Call Of Duty Tournament. Currently we already have some face plates and a T-shirt, but we would like to get even more awesome prizes. And we are even thinking of giving away a pocket bike, check back for more info on that.
You can pre-order Tickets by request via e-mail here, don't forget to submit your Name and Address! Your Ticket(s) will be send to you after payment checks out asap and you get some drinking coupons. We would appreciate it very much if you pre-order your tickets, this way we can estimate the number of participants and get better prizes. (Currently I will not be able to process new pre-orders in time for the next LAN Party, but you can still get a ticket @ the entrence)
Our main prize for this LAN Party will be a totally awesome pocket bike courtecy of GenereL FypE; pictures can be seen below.

"Our second LAN Party was a success, more people joined than last time and many visited to see what it was all about. All the participants were very pleased with the way things happened and the excellent organization of everything. Booze was plentiful and background music and entertainment were a nice addition to the already awesome LAN.
Personally I arrived at 11h30 becouse I had to take care of some other bussiness first, but that didn't stop most people from already converging in the hall. Luckily I had anticipated this and made sure someone was there to get everyone started. As we set-up the tables the evening before, everyone was already finished unpacking their stuff before I even got there. So I started cracking at connecting everyone to the network installation. Becouse I planned on more people than last time I had taken the time to make cards and drinking tickets so that everything went smoothly. Whoever could show me a card got hooked up into the network. This worked really well for me, I didn't need to check if everyone had bought an entrance card and things worked out fair.
Once everyone hooked up we started off playing some Halo 3 as always THE best game for LAN Parties, with loads of fun gameplay for everyone. Halo is just one of those games that everyone likes to play as long as there is no lag. Obviously it was not the only game we played, we also played Call Of Duty. Which was exceptionally fun for me, I haden't had this much fun with CoD since the first times I played it. We also played Gears Of War 2 and some other games. In the evening we played some Co-op 'Left 4 Dead on the big screen, very scary and very fun. Later that day more people showed up to see what all the fuss was about. They came, they saw that it was good and they'll join us this summer with other members of their clan. I'm telling you once you go LAN you'll never go back. Which works out for everyone aswell, the more players, the more games, the more fun for all.
