Car History: The car was Build in 1970 and is one of the original builded cars by Lotus.

Specifications: Engine - Ford Kent 1600 cc with double Weber carburators

Four gear gearbox

Left hand drive

Live axles

SPAX front and rear adjustable shock absorbers

Rebuilded completely in winter 1999-2000

Rebuilding story :

As soon as the car was registered in Belgium, we received the numberplates as an oldtimer.

The smoke, oil leaks and noise decide us to dismantle the car and to rebuild engine , dash and chassis.

A big job! and not done within one day , but the challange.

Removing wheels and engine, and finally removing everything that was possible.

The chassis cleaned and repainted were needed.

The dashoard and electrical wiring where all rebuilded.

The engine and gearbox rebuilded and painted and ready to fit.

And 3 months later.... the Lotus was ready for the road !
