I was born around WW2, a 30th of October (to send me flowers or dark chocolate, ask for my snail address ;-). I'm a French speaking Belgian citizen, and I live near Brussels, surrounded by woods and fields, with my gray cat and my black dog. |

I got started in the data processing business in 1964.
At that time, I was fiddling for a while with punched cards
on IBM 421 tabulating machines, before the arrival of the
first business computers 1400, 1410, followed by the 360 and
370 series. I did very little programming in Assembler and
Cobol, but much system analysis and project management. So,
I was always involved with main frames for large companies,
until 1985 when I discovered the Macintosh. |

I have gone through many hobbies in my life, in overlapping periods of five years or more. It started with electronics at the age of twelve. Then came the jazz guitar (Django Reinhardt) during my studies at Brussels University (Economics). Photo and audiovisual shows followed. And bird watching associated with nature protection. Also dog training (many contests with my German shepherds). Oops, I almost forgot : I loved writing many articles on those subjects. Then came the Macintosh. |
