22nd SEPTEMBER - 3rdOCTOBER 1998

Solene on GR70 On the 22nd September the "Rando-Fête" was set on its way by the association "Sur le Chemin de Stevenson".
On this occasion, several members of the well-known international "R.L. Stevenson Club" of Edinburgh were present - among them, Scots, English, American and even Japanese.
There were obviously quite a few French and also 8 Belgians with an interest in Stevenson.
This "Rando-Fête" had been organised to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the famed "Travels with a donkey in the Cévennes" of the Scottish author, Robert Louis Stevenson.
Unfortunately, I was only able to take part in the walk as from La Bastide Puylaurent, which is where this story starts.

Sunday 27th September.
La Bastide Puylaurent - Chasseradès

Hotel des Pins in La Bastide Puylaurent We all meet up infront of the Hôtel des Pins, from where we head towards the station, cross the railway line and climb up towards La Mourade.
Towards mid-day, we reach the attractive rock outcrop of Réchaubo. Rock outcrop of Rechaubo
Pinic lunch Which is where we eat our picnic lunch.
It is time to move on. We continue our route towards the little hamlet of Chabalier; from there we follow a little stream towards Chasseradès. Chasserades - Lozere
