Maserati engine The engine bloc is a lightweight construction with removable
steel sleeves. The 6 cylinders are arranged in a 90° angle resulting
in a very compact, lightweight powerplant. The forged steel crankshaft
turns in 4 bearings. The combustion chambers are of hemispherical design
with 2 valves in 90° V angle. The distribution is by 4 camshafts (each
running in 3 bearings) driven by chains through an intermediary shaft.
Fuel is supplied by Weber carburetors with later European models switching
to Bosch electronic fuel injection.

engine (and gruelling tales of timing chains and valves) check the engine
