Porsche 944 turbo

This is my daily driver. This 951 was built in 1997 and has covered 160000 miles (the car was originally sold in Las Vegas). Porsches do go wrong! The repairs on this car apart from classic 944 problems (steering, motor mounts, clutch) were mainly to do with the exhaust (cracking, welding, cracking again, welding again, cracking...) and the torque tube (faulty bearings). The performance after 160000 miles is still flawless and the engine remains very strong and uses no oil. The most recent problem is a slight vibration at 100mph. The pictures are from a 1997 trip to lake Geneva. I'm pointing to some stone chip damage after ascending a rather interesting mountain pass in record time.

This car is used every day. The picture shows one off its duties as the fastest camera platform in Belgium (loaded up with a digital betacam in the back, control units in the passenger seat and three people on board, this setup was used to record a Mercedes on the move).
