The
undead army auction is up and running, check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3182544477
. If you have any questions regarding this auction, please
do not hesitate to contact me. See auction link page for details.
I'll be uploading the individual picture to my site very soon.

Almost
finished the Undead
Army. If I can stick to my current planning, the auction
will start on Wednesday. Stay tuned!
Also, the Griffin auctions will be ending soon...
Another
update on the
Undead army: the Zombies are finished :)
10-03-2004
No
updates on the upcoming
Confrontation army this time (although I've been working
on it very hard today), but four miniatures up for sale. Since
I want to concentrate on my Drune army, I'm selling some Griffins:
I
started working on a
Confrontation Undead army today, and I have decided to create
some kind
of journal for this, which you can find in the articles
section. This army isn't for my personal collection, but for
sale on eBay. So keep your eyes open peeled on updates. Feedback
can always be mailed to
me.
23-02-2004
Major
update in the gallery today. First
up is the finished Spasm Warrior, from which you've seen a WIP
shot some time ago:
Next
up are some dwarves I am painting for my friend's army. They
are painted on a gaming quality level, but I still think they
are nice to look at :)
I've
also added a link to a new site called Minipainting.com,
specializing in RPG characters (Reaper) and a cheap painting
service for large armies.
16-02-2004
Didn't
manage to get much mini painting done the last couple of days,
because I was working on my very first piece of scenery. I never
did something like this before, but I'm quite happy about the
results. I'll use it as a gaming piece, but I've built it as
some kind of proof of concept for a display base I'm planning.
Check it out:
12-02-2004
It's
been a little while since the last update, but once again it
was very difficult to pull myself away from the painting desk
long enough to get some work for the site done :)
First
of all my Tau army has been sold, with a final price of about
325 USD. Congratulations to the new owners!
The
Drune Lanyfh pictures have finally been uploaded to the gallery.
I painted a total of 6, but I selected only the best ones to
put on my site:
What
else to expect? Well, in order to keep my Drune collection complete,
I bought Corwyn Le Bossu yesterday, as well as the new Lanyfh
sisters. I've got a load of commission
jobs I want to finish first, so it can take some time to
put up a WIP shots of those new sculpts. I'll keep you all updated
as much as possible, of course!
That's
right, I'm completely quitting the Warhammer 40K game. After
selling my Black Templars army last summer, I'm now selling
my second 40K army: Tau. I really like the models, both Kroot
and Tau, but I just prefer to spend my time and money on Confrontation.
Although, I'm still working on some Tau display pieces, but
I have decided to stop playing the game.
If
you have any questions regarding these auctions, then please
mail me at corvus@advalvas.be.
28-01-2004
Pictures
of the finished Lanyfhs
will be up soon, but in the meantime I want to show you a picture
of the Spasm
Warrior I'm currently working on.
I
know I was initially planning to sell this mini on eBay, but
I think the paintjob on his robes looks so good I might keep
him for my private collection :) But his counter-part (the other
fig from the blister) might end on eBay after all.
Talking
about eBay: I am planning to sell my Tau army very soon. I just
took some pictures and if I have time I am putting those online,
together with the auction. Stay tuned if you're interested!
25-01-2004
Still
working hard on my Drune army to get it ready in time for a
tournament I'll be attending next Sunday. But I have good news:
I have found some time to take pictures of my
Work In Progress Lanyfhs, so here's a chance to see the
sculpts, in stead of the artwork at Rackham's site.
Mainly,
the skin, hair and skirts are finished. When the shot was taken,
I was working on the boots. I'm going to paint the swirls on
their skin in the grey-blue color I use for the armour of my
Drunes.
Speaking
of WIP's, I have created a seperate group in the gallery
for those shots, at the bottom of that
page. I also moved some of last year's news to the archives
page.
22-01-2004
It's
been a while since my last update, but I've been very busy working
on my Drune army. So I'm happy to show all of you the pictures
of my finished Séides Formors (Formor Fiends in English):
___
I
have also got a lot of questions regarding the Lanyfh blister
I bought recently. Since Rakcham created a special edition card
for these (showing only some concept-art), a lot of people haven't
seen the sculpts themselves. I have started working on 6 Lanyfhs
last week, so I'll be posting a WIP picture asap!
For
the records: the Warhammer Lahmian Vampier has been sold!
07-01-2004
Terry
Adams (aka Yrret) asked my to beta-test his news headlines feed
from ElectricOcean
on my site. Well here are the results:
I
think Terry did a pretty good job, so I'm putting these headlines
in the right column of my front page :)
Also
went to my miniatures store today to buy the new Drune Lanyfhs,
amazing models again.
04-01-2004
First
update of 2004, so I guess this is the perfect time to wish
you all a very happy new year :) I wish everyone a very good
health and peace for everyone!
I've decided to give the Lahmian
Vampire a second try on eBay, with better pictures this
time. The starting price is 4.50 GBP (6.40 EUR or 8.10 USD)
and you can check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3168061928.
I
also prepared the Confrontation
Spasm Warrior today, so you can expect that one up for auction
pretty soon. I'm taking a short break from the Drunes now to
do some commission work and work for eBay. I need some cash
to buy those new Dune Lanyph models you know, and my varnish
and primer spray cans are also almost empty :)
Because
of the fact that the US dollar keeps dropping in value compared
to the Euro, I am updating my policies on commission
work. The price will be fixed in Euros, and calculated to
US dollars (if necessary) at the time payment must be made.
To make conversions, I always use XE.com's
Currency Converter.
31-12-2003
I
started working on the formor fiends last week and I have posted
a WIP picture.
If you like those Drunes then you must surely check out Jarrett
Lee's homepage, because he's working on exactly the same models
like me, also on snow bases: http://www.tinctureadept.com.
Finished
two more Drunes, Persecutors this time (1
& 2).
I expect the third persecutor to be finished soon, and then
I'll start working on the big Formors :)
20-12-2003
Finally
finished my first Drune: Gwahyr
L'Impitoyable. This is also the first time I used snow on
a base :)
I hope you like him. More Drunes coming soon!
18-12-2003
Like
I promised yesterday: new and updated pictures!
First of all there's a completely new miniature, and a very
special one. One of the rarest pieces of my collection: the
limited edition Confrontation Phidias
De Basarac.
And here are some more updated gallery pictures:
- Sered, Commandeur
Templier
- Magistrat
Du Griffon
- Templier
Du Griffon A
17-12-2003
Now
that I have access to my own digital camera, I'll be posting
WIP shots from time to time of mini's I'm currently working
on. Don't expect nice backdrops and lightning, just basic shots,
straight from my desk :) Yesterday I started working on my
very first Confrontation Drune mini: Gwahyr.
Tomorrow my holidays are starting, and I am planning to do a
lot of painting, especially my Drune army. And I'm going to
do a lot of photography practice also, so expect some updated
pictures soon.
I think these pictures are pretty decent for a first try at
digital photography, but I still have got much to learn.
I'll be updating other pictures in the next few weeks!
10-12-2003
Added
a new miniature today: the second Templier
De L'Inquisition.
Last week I bought myself my second Confrontation army: Drunes.
Right now I'm busy cleaning, glueing and priming, but I hope
to start painting these holidays. There's only one more mini
I want to finish first: Phidias.
A few days back I added a link to Lord
Aldades' Temple. But Tomsche has just announced he wants
to focus more on historical wargaming, so he's going to quit
his LOTR hobby, and his website. Be sure to check out his eBay
page, because he's selling his entire collection of painted
and new LOTR miniatures: http://members.benl.ebay.be/aboutme/tomsche69
07-12-2003
The
Lahmian Vampire auction ended without a winning bidder. So I'm
now offering this mini for sale directly from this site. The
price is 15 USD, check out more details here.
I've added two new pictures to the gallery:
a Confrontation
Chasseur Des Tenèbres and a Tau
Crisis suit. These models were finished a while ago, but
never uploaded the pictures...
Also added a new link: Lord
Aldades' Temple, the homepage of Tomsche Murrath, one of
the most entousiastic wargamers I know. Check out his site,
it has tons of info :)
I
also want to announce 2 miniatures that will be put online for
sale in the next couple of months: Eilea, a limited edition
Celtos miniature from I-Kore, and a Spasm Warrior by Rackham.
I'm very busy right now doing several commissions jobs, and
after that I want to start my second Confrontation army: the
Drunes. So I'm planning these minis to be put up for sale early
2004.
28-11-2003
Due
to the recent record-breaking exchange rates between US dollars
and Euros, I am forced to raise the prices stated in USD on
the for sale and painting
service pages. For example all shipping & handling costs
will be raised with 0.50 USD.
My
feedback profile on eBay
reached 10 points today, so I am now the proud owner of a yellow
star, which is given to all eBay users with a feedback profile
between 10 and 49. Here it is:
10-11-2003
Finished
the Mira miniature, and put it on
eBay for sale right away! The starting bid is 24.00 USD,
and the auction ends monday 17 november. This is the link to
the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3155415178.
Of course you can always take a look at this new mini in the
gallery. Many thanks to Tracy for
her good advice about the pictures :) Cheers!
04-11-2003
Because
there's plenty of room left in the column on the right hand
side of the main screen of this site, I added two new sections.
Miniature news, where I try to highlight new releases of my
favorite manufacturers, and Miscellaneous, a small place to
put stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else on this site.
For now, it only includes a voting button for my site on Electric
Ocean, so why don't give it a try? I'll put it again here
for your convenience, thanks ;)
03-11-2003
Between
the drying of two layers of my Mira miniatures, I decided to
start working on another auction:
an OOP Warhammer Fantasy Lahmia Vampire. This miniature has
been lying on my desk for too long, so I decided to paint and
sell it. This Vampire has a lower priority than my other paintjobs,
so expect it to be online for sale
by the end of the month... Of course, if you don't want to take
part in the auction, you can always
send me an offer, and I'll reserve the paintjob for you.
02-11-2003
A
small update because I want to draw your attention to a new
link I have added. Electric
Ocean is rapidly becoming one of the most important mini
sites on the net, with loads of news and a handy calendar. Those
guys even watch my site for newly uploaded minis! :)
About the upcoming Mira auction:
the first painting is done and if everything goes well (that
means: not too much work at the office ;) she will be up for
auction next week.
31-10-2003
Complete
re-design of the front-page (the page you're looking at now)
of this site. I tried to cram as much information in the view
field as possible: news, new miniatures and ongoing and upcoming
auctions. I also decided to put old news (let's say: older than
two months) in an archive.
I don't expect to get much painting done because I am very busy
at work at the office for the moment, and I don't expect this
to change until december. Anyway, I'll keep you updated on the
progress of my Mira miniature and when it will be put on eBay.
I'm also thinking about the next auction: maybe I'll do a Fianna
next time, or one of those very nice Alahan wizards.
And oh yeah: happy halloween :)
30-10-2003
Added
a new picture to the about me section:
a picture of my desk, where I spend many hours painting :)
29-10-2003
Started
working on two identical Rackham miniatures today: Mira
la Téméraire (The Reckless in English): one
for my personal collection and one for sale on eBay.
so you can expect her to appear there pretty soon.
28-10-2003
Another
painting competition, another medal: a gold one this time! I
won first prize at a painting competition organized by a local
store. All participants were given a 40K goblin, and one week
time. And my yellow Greenskin
earned me the Two Towers boxed set of the Lord Of The Rings
fantasy game by Games Workshop. Thanks Filip!! :)
First
of all, I've moved to new webspace, so hopefully there won't
be too many problems...
And I also just got back from Games
World, one of the biggest all-round gaming conventions in
Belgium. As usual I took a lot of pictures. Privateer
Press was also there to present their miniatures game Warmachine
to the European public, and I must say I like the miniatures
a lot. So keep your eyes open for a new event coverage article
:)
Some
of my Confrontation friend visited the "Monde Du Jeu"
games convention in Paris last weekend, check
out their pictures here.
01-10-2003
I
recently finished my Magistrat
Du Griffon model, which I want to use in a painting competition
next month. In real life this miniature looks a lot better than
my Sered
model, but unfortunately my scanner wasn't able to capture this
paintjob in its full glory :(. But don't worry: I'm saving for
a digital camera :D
And if you're interested in buying
another of my Valkyrie models (I already sold two: check them
out here
and here),
keep your eyes open because I will be announcing a new auction
very soon.
23-09-2003
Complete
update of the painting service
page. I now offer three quality levels, instead of two. I've
also changed the pricing and added some pictures.
I
took some new pictures of my Sered
miniature, using a digital camera this time instead of a scanner.
Check them out in the gallery.
08-09-2003
A
major wargaming/miniatures event took place in Leopoldsburg,
Belgium last saturday: Crusade
2003. For the first time I competed in the painting competition
there, and won second prize with my Sered
mini in the single fantasy category! Other good news is that
I have taken some pictures for the people who weren't there,
and made another small event
coverage article from it. Check it out here.
The
two other Confrontation minis I have finished during my holidays
have been uploaded to the gallery:
a Templier
De L'Inquisition and the beautiful limited edition mini
Shanys
L'Ombre.
26-08-2003
Just
got back from my summer holidays, and I was able to do a lot
of painting. I am also back available for commission
work.
The
first mini I have finished is the Confrontation Sered
miniature. I have two other Griffin minis ready, I'll update
the gallery ASAP.
Added
a link to Jarrett Lee's site: TinctureAdept.com.
This guy caught my attention when he appeared on the CoolMiniOrNot
Confrontation forums, discussing his new paintjobs.
I
will be leaving on holiday tomorrow for three weeks, so I will
not be able to answer any emails or update this site. I hope
to do a lot of painting, but that will completely depend on
the weather :) (if the weather is fine I will probably be at
the beach :p). My main target is a Confrontation model I want
to have finished by the end of my holiday to compete in a painting
competition early September: Sered, Templar Commander from the
Griffin army... see you all back again next month!
28-07-2003
Updated
the posting & packaging information and prizes on the
for sale page once more.
