Creating a 200 points Confrontation Undead army

I've been thinking about painting a Confrontation force for eBay for a while now, but this week I've decided to give it a try. Honestly, I don't know if it will sell, and if so, for what price, but I think I will make a good chance choosing a popular army such as undead.
So this page wil serve as some kind of journal, where you will be able to follow the progress of this army from the very beginning (cleaning, assembly), through the progress of painting, and the final countdown to the auction itself.

After a lot of reading in the 2004 Rackham catalogue, and looking for advice on the Confrontation forums, I finally came up with a composition for my army (the links will take you right to the Rackham pages):

- Melmoth, Guerrier Crâne
- Wolfen Zombie
- Zombies en Armure (2)
- Goules d'Acheron (2)

I have recieved several comments on the fact that I am only putting 2 zombies and goules of each blister (which normally contains 3), but I want to set the limit to 200 points and wanted to add an interesting mini like the Wolfen Zombie.
So I went to my miniatures store and bought the necessary blisters packs.

I started cleaning and (partially) assembling the miniatures that same evening. The quality wolfen was very good (almost no mould lines), the gouls and zombies were okay (like any average miniature) but Melmoth needed a bit more work. Anyway, here's my progress so far:

I'm afraid that's it for this first journal entry :) The next step is to get the bases ready before priming, by glueing on some sand. I also want to create a small display base for the army. All I need now is some more spare time :p

I've just finished the cutting of the display base. I want to keep it simple, just some sand and grass, with rocks here and there. After this picture was taken, I already glued some sand on the bases of the minis, so now they can be primed.

After glueing sand on the display base, and priming the miniatures, the real fun can start today: painting :) I decided to start out with the ghouls, since these models are most appealing to me. Between drying times I try to work a bit on the wolfen zombie, because I think this model will be the most time-consuming of the entire batch. The ghouls contain a tryout of the color scheme I want to use for the entire army: green skin and red brown clothing. Here are the first results:

Finished the ghouls today (except for the bases of course)! I'm really happy about the way the final colors came out, and the weapons also look quite good IMO.
I've already done the basecoat of the zombie's skin, these are the next minis I'll be working on.
I decided to pin the weapon the Wolfen Zombie, because it is to big and heavy. This first attempt at pinning came out allright (phew :).

I made a lot of progress on the Zombies today. I was a bit afraid of the large areas of bronze NMM, but I think they came out okay.

Zombies are fnished. I'm really happy about the way the bronze NMM came out, and also about the swords and their rust effects :)
Next up: the Wolfen Zombie.

The Wolfen Zombie is almost done, only the blade of the weapon has to be painted, and the base of course. It took up a lot of time, but after the skin was finished, the most difficult and time-consuming part was done.
All that remains now is Melmoth, the bases and the display base. Depending on how much work I can do tomorrow and the following days I expect the army to be finished by next weekend.

Melmoth got finished today, and I also worked on the display base. Actually the project is 90% done now I guess :)
I'll varnish all the minis tomorrow and add some grass to the display base and the bases of the minis. Then it's time to take pictures and create a page for eBay. So my current plan is to put up this auction on Wednesday. I'll keep you updated!
