On the internet I am known as Corvus, but my real name is Gerrie Schenck. I was born in februari 1980 and live in Belgium. I work in Antwerp as a software engineer for a company that creates software for container ports. I started doing scale modelling when I was about 11 years old (if I remember correctly). During the first years I did a lot of military aircraft, mainly from the German model maker Revell. By the time I was 16 I did all kinds of models: aircraft, armour, military miniature figures, sports cars, mainly from Revell and Tamyia. Then I took a break from modelling until I picked it up again in 2001, when I graduated and started working. I concentrated on German WW2 armour in 1/72th scale, but in the summer of 2002 my friend introduced me to Game Workshops Warhammer 40k. I started painting a Space Marine Black Templar army, and a second army (Tau & Kroot) followed soon after. In the spring of 2003 I wanted something more challenging to paint, so I decided to start collecting the armies of Rackhams Confrontation game. My
other hobbies beside painting and wargaming include squash, swimming,
video games, board games, movies and music. And for those of you who
want to know how I look, here's a pic:
And here's a picture of my desk, where I spend many hours painting:
