Carla Flati is the unseen hands behind the UN endorsed "Common Ground World Project" that will end in the production of a one meter disk of fired clay called the "World Mandala".

She was especially hired by Standard Ceramics of Pittsburg to process the 185 1 kilo, raw clay samples as they came in from all over the world. Each sample had to be dried, crushed and bits of non-clay matter had to be taken out. After that, water was added to make the clay workable again.

A portion of all the samples was added together to make the claybody for the "World Mandala"

The local clay samples arrived in all the colors of the rainbow. Here she's formed them into a "mandala" of her own.
