Expo Transport
Transport of visitors was done by typical Expo vehicles. For many people these transport possibles were attractions in itself. They had the choice of four opportunities to explore the exhibition.
A cable lift took two visitors per gondola, 6 metres high from the Grande Palace via the Atomium to the U.S.A. pavilion.
Some twenty Expo trains, powered by Mercedes, brought visitors to several stopping places at the Expo.
Many Pousse-Pousses, a motorized three-wheeler, drove with two passengers all over the Expo site.
For the upper middle class , there was a chopper flight over the exhibition site. The Heliport was also used to transfer people from the nearby airport Melsbroek. |
