Nutrition
About
the
nutrition
of
cats
there
are
different
opinions.
Everyone
has
to
decide
for
himself
what
the
best
is for his
pets.
We
give
our
cats
every
day
of
the
week
dry
food
(grains)
and
3
times
a week
tin food
or
boiled
chicken,
fish,...
etc.
We
use
a
well-known
brand
of
grain
food
because
we
are
convinced
that
this
brand
has
a
well equilibrated food
value.
Until
now
we
have
never
had
problems
with
it
and
our
cats
are
in
top
form. Especially
in the
summer
the
grain
has
more
advantages
then
tin
food,
because
by
warm
weather
the
tin food
goes
very quickly
bad.
We
don't
leave
tin
food
standing
for
more
then
an
half
hour,
after
that we
take
it
away. They
can
eat
day
and
night
of
their
grains.
They
mostly
get
some
sweets during
the
day
as
well. These
are
for
sale
in
the
stores
in
the
shape
of
hearts,
fishes,
etc. They
have
a
certain
value
of vitamins
and
they
find
these
very
tasty.
Still
the
prescription
amount
is not
crossed.
The
drinking-water
is
refreshed
mornings and
evenings,
but
you
should
do
it
more
with
high
temperatures.
We
gave
them
a
closed
litter
tray
with
a
swing
door.
Possible
smells
are
staying
in
the
cat
loo (litter tray).
But
since
we
have
changed
of
cat
litter,
all
these
discomforts
(inconveniences)
are
practically
gone.
The brand
that we
use
now
absorbs
all
fluid
and
shapes
a
clot.
Besides
that,
when
the
filling
is
getting wet,
there
is a
kind
of
perfume
setting
free.
On
condition
that
everything
is
staying
clean,
you
have to
clean
out
the tray
every
day.
For
that
there
is
a
special
shovel
for
sale
in
the
stores that
works
like
a
sieve. Like
this
only
the
clots
are
removed
and
the
rest
can
be
kept,
and in
this
way
there
is
no waste
of
the
cat
litter.
The
cat-box
is
disinfected
regularly
with
detol.

The
coat
A
Sacred
Birman
is
washed
one
day
before
the
show,
on
the
other
hand
the
Maine
Coon
is
only washed a
few
days
before
the
show
when
it
is
necessary.
A
Maine
Coon
must
show
her
natural
fat
gloss
during
the
showing
(presentation).
A
healthy
cat
maintains
her coat more
than
once
a
day.
Both
breeds
are
semi
longhaired
cats
and
are
easy
to
comb,
they
don't tangle. Once
a
week
a
good
combing
is
enough.

The
nails
These
are
trimmed
on
time
because
our
cats
still
can't
walk
outside
on
asphalt
or
concrete.
Through
that
the nails can
not
wear
off,
but
by
this
summer
there
is
coming
an
outside-run
with
a
reasonable
coarse
floor (concrete
clinker).
With
that
they
can
file
their
nails
themselves.
We
use
special
nail-scissors.
Only
the
points
are trimmed.

The
eyes
Check
the
eyes
to
make
sure
that
they
don't
weap.
If
this
is
the
case,
contact
your
vet.
There can be
a
lot
of
causes,that
why
it's
better
you
don't
play
vet
for
yourself. |
