Description:
- Archives of the central institutions of the Burgundian, Spanish and Austrian Netherlands till 1795, of some central institutions of the French period (1795-1815) and the period of the Kingdom of Netherlands (1815-1830). From the foundation of Belgium till now also the archives of the central institutions of the national/federal government with the exception of the ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs.
- Family archives and personal archives of some politicians.
- Maps, plans, imprints and manuscripts.
Location:
The archives are located at 5 minutes walking-distance from the Central Station. When you leave the station, follow the 'Cantersteen' and the 'Boulevard de l'Empereur'. Behind the 'Bibliothèque Royale Albert I' (nr. 4) take the stairs at your left hand and walk through the gallery. There is no free parking place in the neighbourhood.

Description:
Archives of departments and services of the palace (Field Marshall of the Court, the King's Cabinet, the King's Civil List, the Military House of the King, the Queen's Secretariat), or by members of the Royal Family. The archives are property of the Crown.
Location:
The archives are in the neighbourhood of the Park, 'Place des Palais' and 'Place du Trône' and at 10 minutes walking distance from the Central Station and the Station Bruxelles-Quartier-Léopold. There is scarcely parking place on the 'Place des Palais'.

The microfilms and genealogical copies will be available in a temporary reading room in the Sanderusstraat 81-85 (in Antwerp) near the old court of justice, also from October 30, 2007 on.

Location:
The archives are located at 10 minutes walking-distance from the Berchem Station. Via the 'Cogels Osylei' and the 'Lange Altaarstraat' you reach the archives. From the Central Station you can reach the archives in 15 minutes by walking through the 'Carnotstraat', 'Provinciestraat', 'Rolwagenstraat', 'Dageraadplaats' and 'Kreeftstraat'. By car you reach the archives via the 'Plantin Moretuslei' and the 'Wolfstraat' (just opposite the Bank van Breda). Parking is difficult in the neighbourhood.

Location:
The archives are located at 15 minutes walking-distance from the Leuven Station. When you leave the station, follow the 'Diestsestraat' till the statue of 'Dorre de Bakker', turn to the right, go downwards alongside the Courthouse and cross the street. Parking places in the centre of Leuven are very scarse. The car-park under the 'Ladeuzeplein' is at 5 minutes walking-distance from the archives. You reach the archives by following the 'Vanderkelenstraat', the 'Bondgenotenlaan', the 'Diestsestraat' and crossing the 'Rijschoolstraat'. The archives are at your righthand side.

The archives are located nearby the historic centre of Anderlecht. Due to the difficult traffic-situation we advise to avoid coming by car. You can reach the archives by metro or tram.
From the Bruxelles-Midi station, you can take tram 56 in the direction "Erasmusziekenhuis" till the stop "Cureghem". After crossing the bridge, follow the canal during 50 meter. The archives are before the trainbridge.
From the Bruxelles-Central station, you can take the metro 1B in the direction "Bizet" till the station "Aumale". Follow the "Vander Bruggenstraat" till the canal and follow the canal during 50 meter. The archives are before the trainbridge.East Flanders / Oost-Vlaanderen / Flandre Orientale

The archives are located at 3 minutes walking-distance from the Beveren Station. By car you reach the archives via the N70 Ghent-Antwerp. Coming from Ghent you take the street right at the 2nd traffic lights, at the end of the street left and at the end of the street left once more. Coming from Antwerp you take the street left at the 1st traffic lights after the marketplace, at the end of the street left and at the end of the street left once more. There is enough parking in the neighbourhood.

Location
The archives are situated at 15 minutes walking-distance from the Ghent-Dampoort Station. You reach the archives via the St. Machariuschurch and the Belgacom-tower or by taking trolleybus 3 to the Belfort. From the Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station you reach the archives by taking Tram 1, 11 or 12 stop 'koornmarkt'. Parking in the neighbourhood is paying. You can also leave you car in the park-building on the 'W.Wilsonplein'.

Description:
Archives of the (public and private) institutions in the judicial district of Oudenaarde (province of East Flanders).
After the closure of the Archives in September 2009 you will find the records prior to 1796 in the Rijksarchief te Gent, and the records of the 19th and 20th century in the Rijksarchief te Beveren. The microfilms and library will be moved to the Rijksarchief te Kortrijk.

Location:
The archives are located in the vicinity 'Grands Prés' at 2 km from the Mons Station. You can take the free shuttle-bus (A) to the Belgacom building. From there you follow the 'Rue des Bassins', cross the 'Avenue Thomas Edison' in the direction of 'Mons Expo'. The archives are under this Expo-hall. By car coming from the highway E19-E42 (exit 24) you can reach the archives by following the direction 'Les Grands Prés'. At the first circus take the 'Avenue Thomas Edison'. You can park your car on the free parking of 'Mons Expo'.

The archives are located at 5 minutes walking-distance from the Eupen Station. The neighbouring busstation is located in the bottom part of the 'Gosperstraße'. If you come by car via the E42 highway you can reach the archives by fllowing the 'Herbesthaler-', 'Vervierser-', 'Aachener-' and 'Hookstraße'. On the 'Werthplatz' there is plenty of parking place. The archives are located on the upper part of this square.

The archives are located in the 'Quartier de Cointe' which you can reach by bus 21 from the Liège-Guillemins Station, busstop 'Place du Batty' or by car from the A625 highway exit Guillemins via the 'Avenue de l'Observatoire' to the right following the direction 'Cointe' to the 'Place du Batty'. From there follow the direction 'Ardennes/Archives de l'Etat'. The archives have a large parking reserved for the visitors.

Before 1839 the region of Arlon was part of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. Some archives before 1839 are kept by the National Archives of Luxemburg.

The archives are situated at the exit of Arlon in the direction of Virton, at 10 minutes walking distance from the Station. You can reach the archives with TEC-bus 26 South.

Location:
The town of Saint-Hubert is not located on a railway line, so you can best reach the archives by car. Leave the N4 Bruxelles-Luxembourg at Barrière-de-Champlon in the direction of Saint-Hubert or the E411 highway Luxembourg-Bruxelles at exit Recogne-Libramont-Sud in the direction of Recogne and Saint-Hubert or exit Transinne-Nord in the direction Poix and Saint-Hubert. You can leave your car on the 'Place de l'Abbaye (parvis de la basilique)' except on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month (market) and the fortnight around Whitsun (village fair).

Location:
The archives are located in the 'Quartier de Bomel', at 10 minutes walking distance from the Namur Station. Leave the station in the direction 'Boulevard du Nord' (opposite to the town), follow the 'Boulevard du Nord' to the 'Pont de Louvain', at the square follow the 'Rue d'Arquet' and pass in front of the church. The archives are 50 meter further. By car coming from the highway Bruxelles-Luxembourg follow the exit Champion in the direction of Namur. At the bottom of the descent follow the direction Bommel and turn in the 'Rue d'Arquet' . Parking is rather easy in the neighbourhood.

The archives are located at 20 minutes walking distance from the Brugge Station. You can reach the archives via the 'Steenstraat' and the 'Vlamingstraat'. You can also take bus 8 with busstop at 50 meter of the archives. By car you can reach the archives through the 'Ezelpoort'. Parking in the neighbourhood is impossible. You can best leave your car on the paying parking place 'Biekorf'. From there you can reach the archives via the 'Naaldenstraat'.
