DNZ is a section of the UBA, Union of Belgian Amateurs. We are a local
radioclub in Deinze, province East Flanders, situated about 15 km from Ghent.
Every Saturday at 7pm our weekly meeting is starting in our club shack. In our
shack the local amateurs are coming together for a eye-ball QSO, a little chat
about DX, antennas or a homebrew project somebody's making or just for having a
beer while reading one of the amateur magazines we have in the shack. Of course
the ham's can use one of tranceivers we hve in the club and make some QSO's. The
club's call is ON6UD. For local 144 MHz contacts we have an FM 2m transceiver
connected to a small vertical antenna. For the amateur who want to work on HF,
there's a HF-tranceiver by Kenwood, the TS-830, available. As HF antennas we
have a vertical for 40/20/15/10 and we are the proud owners of a loop antenna
which is mounted around the tennis-fields near the shack. With this antenna we
can work on the lower bands. There is also a computer with interface available
to do some digital modes like PSK31, RTTY or SSTV.
Every year we are taking part in Fieldday. Until last year we were active
during the CW and the SSB Fieldday, but in 2003 we were just able to participate
in the SSB Fieldday.
Below you can see some pictures of FD 2003 SSB.
