• 07/96 - 07/00  Statistician at the N.I.S. (Belgian National Institute of Statistics).  Project leader at the general manager’s office (methodology and co-ordination section).  Tasks related to organisation (management of human resources and statistics inventory DB's) and various projects (e.g. euro, year 2000, participation to the renewal of data processing at the human resources department…). 

• 01/97 - 03/97  Medstat : evaluation of D.P. and publication departements of the National Institutes of Statistics Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. Identification of projects within the framework of Meda program (Mediterranean - E.U. countries). 

• 07/94 - 06/96  EDF project leader "Computerisation of statistical and customs data concerning foreign trade inside ECOWAS and WAEC" (West-Africa).  Responsible for the project management and implementation. Budget : 5 700 000 euros.  Achievements : installation of 16 information systems concerning foreign trade statistics (from national ASYCUDA customs systems) centralised in Lomé (Togo), publication of 16 new customs tariffs (based on H.S.), design of a single customs document (SAD). 

• 02/94 - 07/94  Statistician at the NIS.  Working for the general manager’s office.  Preparation of the inventory and the diagram of statistics produced by the Institute. 

• 04/93 - 08/93  Evaluator of the EDF project "Foreign Trade Statistics of ECOWAS and the WAEC" (West-Africa) on behalf of the European Commission [DG-VIII]. 

• 12/91 - 10/92  Study and design of the development of the Burundi's economy through expansion and marketing of the country’s food production: import and distribution of fertilisers, purchase and export of local production, promotion of consumption [free lance]. 

• 07/91 - 11/91  Survey, feasibility study and organisation of supply of essential food in the Shaba province (Congo, ex-Zaire) [free lance]. 

• 01/86 - 01/91  Responsible for the computer and telecommunication systems of the Customs Administration of (former-)Zaire (managing 21 people) [EC-DGVIII]. 
  Responsible for decentralisation and ASYCUDA system, in co-operation with Eurostat (E.C.-Luxembourg) and the UNCTAD (Geneva), in application of the recommendations of the Customs Cooperation Council and the E.C. concerning the standardisation of the procedures of international trade and the EDF agreements (Stabex). 
  Purchase, works, organisation, training (of 16 computer specialists) and successful start in October 1990.

Reorganisation and negotiation of foreign transport and transit.  Price control.  Customs policy. Participation in the creation of the Great Lakes Economic Community.  D.P. management of shortages (rationing of fuel, organisation of an air-lift between Dar-es-Salaam and Bujumbura). 

• 10/74 - 10/75  D.P. project leader [IPTC-Belgium].  Management of procurement, stocks and personnel; rationalising the purchases and sellings of MAGEC (a supermarket of electric household appliances). 

• 10/72 - 09/74  D.P. project leader [Economical information Centre of the Belgian Ministry of Economic Affairs].  Management of the Central Office of Contingentments and Licenses, in relation with the common agricultural Policy.
