Mihara Jun 三原順

[born: 7 Oct 1952, Hokkaidou, Sapporo ; bloodtype: ?] [died: 20 Mar 1995]

Mihara made her debut in 1973 with "Bokura no Omiai" (Our Wedding Interview) in Bessatsu Margaret. Her real name was Suzuki Junko 鈴木順子. Mihara died at age 42 due to an illness (heart attack ?). {DHI}

Mihara's best known work, about orphaned and abandoned children. Seen from the perspective of today, the drawing style may seem cutesy and hopelessly out of date, but the stories are grim and thought-provoking. Very good, and very sad. {018}
