Welcome to the Brussels Celtic Rugby Football Club.
We are always looking for persons who want to play rugby with us (all levels accepted) , to support us, to drink with us... Come on, just try, you won't regret it ! The friendly atmosphere of the celtics will convice you.

Team spirit and atmosphere

Being in the team will provide facilities for non motorised players, as there are many people going to Tervuren from Altran's office, and so, it is easy to get a lift. The integration of foreigner will be certainly easier than in other clubs (especially for people not speaking French nor Flemish).
Being in this team will also enable all people to improve their English, their French and their shape and provide them with nice people to have a drink with after a good training session or game (or to watch a rugby games with).
The team is now competing in Belgians second (and last) division, but we deserve (everyone in the team agrees with this) a better place and are doing our best to get it.
Although the team has become more and more "French" as new players were arriving (most of them were French) the team has kept a strong "Irish spirit". Not only the English is the official language of the team but the Irish team is also the most supported one during the 6 nation championship (trips are organised each year to attend to some of the matches of the Irish team).
Other nationalities are also present and even English players are accepted (not so obvious for an Irish team with a lot of French players, but, as said above we are all nice people)

The training

The training are on Wednesday at 8PM and Friday at 7:30PM in the British School of Brussels in Tervuren.
(to get there from Montgomery : follow the chaussée de Tervuren to the ring, cross the ring and go straight till Tervuren's palace (~2km), turn left in direction of the British school which is about 200 meters after the African Museum, on the right).
Need a map ?

Isn't there a post match celebration

Since september, the new club house is "O' Dwyers Pub", next to the Shuman roundabout, Rue Archimede.

Rubgy within Altran

This team is not really Altran's team, it is a regular Belgium championship team, competing in the normal rugby competitions, founded less than 4 years ago by some Irish expatriates (from this comes the name of the team).
A few Altran people entered this team and made more and more of their co-workers join in.
Seeing this noticeable presence, Altran decided to support the team and became its main sponsor.

That doesn't imply that people will gain something from Altran by playing in the team nor that the choice of this team is compulsory for all Altran guys who want to play rugby (and, why not, girls...).
The club is above all a rugby club and training is not an Altran meeting (this irritates the other people).

Just for fun, some great photos

mud bath are perfect for skin ;-)
We also participate to 7th tournament... very fun !
