Craig Thornber’s Gisburn Lancasters

 This line starts with two Lancasters, Henry and John, who at least seem like they might be brothers. It also seems like they might have been born within Gisburn. The villages of Paythorne and Newsholme are very close to Horton.

 In fact they are very probably amongst the baptisms of various John Lancasters around 1600 which are discussed on another webpage, more concerned with the earliest recorded Lancasters in Gisburn.

Guilielmus of Horton married Elizabeth Fletcher 20 October 1700

Elizabeth is named as the wife of William, inn keeper, in his will of 1718.

On the other hand, an Ann daughter of William was baptised in Barnoldswick 7 Sept 1694, and a William of Barnoldswick was buried 19 January 1704/5.
