I started making these sites just before the marriage between Prince Philip and Princess Mathilde in 1999. When I saw Count Henri d'Udekem d'Acoz comment upon the family name, it rang a bell. Months later I found a passage about Reinier van Udekem in a book by a great-uncle of mine. Then I seemed to remember my grandmother told me the story of Reinier van Udekem who founded a convent in the age of chivalry.
