Site Introduction
The following website is the personal site of Marcus Peaston and, to
be honest, there isn't much of a plan for it yet. To begin with it
will be used to show off the pictures from my recent wedding to my
beautiful wife, Elizabeth. These pictures will be uploaded once they
are available and I'll be tinkering with the rest of the site when
I get the time. Stay tuned and don't be surprised if the look-and-feel
of this site changes completely.
The image of the chap to the left with a gun is a reference to where the name
"Kelmon" comes from. I got the name from a story written as background material
for the Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 series of tabletop games about
an Eldar (think fantasy elves with a lot of futuristic hardware) soldier
who I liked the name of. I've used this as my Internet nickname for years
and, while I grew out of the games themselves years ago, the name has stuck
and I continue to use it to this day. The main reason why the image is
present, however, is that I needed something to go in the space made by
the template and this was the first thing that came to mind. Sad, isn't
it? Suffice to say that the image is not mine and is used is without the
permission of Games Workshop...
Macromedia Dreamweaver
In case anyone is wondering, no, I didn't create all this code myself. While I
have both the knowledge and inclination to do so, I haven't got the time at the
moment and so I've used Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 MX for this site. For about 3
seconds of work, it's pretty good and the code it generates is pretty efficient.
Since Skynet, my ISP, is only handing out 50MB of webspace, efficient code is really
important, particularly when I start adding pictures that'll eat most of my webspace.
