- for use with MacOS X 10.3 - 10.6
Version 4.0 changes
- KIU is now able to detect applications that are hanging
("application not responding") and then kill and relaunch the
application. This greatly enhances KIU's effectiveness to keep your
applications up and running.
- KIU 4.0.1 is a maintenance release
Version 3.5 changes
- KIU automounter supports Microsoft (CIFS) shares
- KIU can now open Keynote presentations
Version 3.4 changes
- KIU can check if certain Network Services are still
available by
polling the network port and checking for a valid response. In case of
failure, it can notify you via e-mail, relaunch the corresponding
application or restart the Mac. This way you can monitor your
webserver, ftpserver or application server (e.g. FileMaker Pro) and
check if it is still serving data and doesn't hang.
- improved "Clean restart" makes clean restart usable in more
cases.
- new tips in the troubleshooting section of the manual.
- several bugfixes

Version 2.5 changes
- automounter: KIU will mount
Appleshare volumes at startup and will remount these volumes if the Mac
was disconnected from the server. An e-mail is sent when a volume is
remounted or when the remount fails.

- improved password security
- some software creates logfiles that
aren't detected when added to the KIU Weblog folder, even though they
contain plain text. To remedy this, simply rename of the alias to make
it end with ".log"
- a link at the bottom of the
webinterface takes you straight to the Kagi registation page for KIU
- the IP address of the Mac running
KIU
is now displayed in all webpages and e-mail messages. This makes it
easier to distinguish different Macs running KIU.
- added a logfile view option of 256KB
