<l part="N">All glory twinkled through some sweat of fight.</l>
<l part="N">From each tall chimney of the roaring Time</l>
<l part="N">That shot his fire far up the sooty night</l>
<l part="N">Mixt fuels—Labor's Right and Labor's Crime—</l>
<l part="N">Sent upward throb on throb of scarlet light,</l>
<l part="N">Till huge hot blushes in the heavens blent</l>
<l part="N">With golden hues of Trade's big firmament.</l>

<l part="N">Shouted the trifling prefix, Time, full high,</l>

<l part="N">"Ye groaning Forces, crack me every shell</l>
<l part="N">Of customs, old constraints and narrow ills:</l>
<l part="N">Thou, lithe Invention, wake and pry and guess,</l>
<l part="N">Till thy deft hand can make us happiness!"</l>

<l part="N">The large Norse forces smile to man, as mild</l>
