Since some time I also enjoy making computer generated pictures by means of Ray tracing software.

Up till now I tried Bryce3D and Pov-Ray. I prefer Pov-Ray because it gives you the finest control on what the picture will look like.

Here is the first big picture I made with it : columndome

The resolution of it is 1400x1050. It took approx. 25 hours to render on an Intel Pentium 3 machine with 256 meg of memory. I currently use it as the background for my portable PC.
