Definitions : Maneuver Area > area where War Games are held, i.e. a series of tactical excercises usually carried out in the field by large bodies of troops, imitating actual conditions of war, usually including 2 opposing forces – Military Reservation > land set apart for Army purposes, also grounds on which a Military Post or Station is located - Post > Military installation or Headquarters where troops are stationed, it may be a Camp, Depot, Fort, Station, Hospital, Arsenal, Air Base, Airfield, Proving Ground, etc. – Reception Center > place where recruits and newly inducted personnel are temporarily sent to be examined, classified, equipped, immunized and where they are given instruction in basic military principles and regulations, before being forwarded to their assigned organizations – Replacement Depot > Military establishment, usually located in the Theater of Operations, where replacements are assembled and then distributed to fill vacancies in organizations and/or units – Replacement Training Center > Military establishment where recruits receive basic training before being assigned permanent stations (or Replacement Center) – Training Camp > Military establishment used only for giving instruction (also in peacetime, place used for training Reserve Officers) – Training Center > Military establishment used in the training of personnel
