My name is Jan Van Ooteghem. I'm 22 years old. I live in Merelbeke, a suburb of Gent, which is located in Belgium. I go to the University of Gent where I study Applied Economic Sciences.
I have been collecting information and photos about civil aviation for about eight years. Together with my father I often go to Zaventem, Brussels National Airport, to spot civil airliners and to photograph them.
To take my first airliner photos I used an OLYMPUS 2000 with 135 zoom but now I got a new camera for my 18th birthday, an EOS 300 with 28-80 and 75-300 zoom. Mostly I take photos, but with the purchase of a digital camera, I have some digitals too. I even have some slides but those represent a minority of my collection.
