  According to Peter Adler:

  I just got off the phone (okay, I didn't JUST get off the phone, I
  got off a few hours ago) with John Castiglione, a dealer/importer
  in Michigan.  According to him, the Hohner bandoneon is produced
  by Gutjahr (or an equivalent custom builder in Germany), which
  explains the enormous price.
