The "A-list" is to one-day matches what "first class" is to multi-day cricket. The top national competitions in the full member nations get this accolade.
In addition, a number of "international" encounters have received this character. There are three kinds of international matches that are given "A-list"-status:
the matches at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 (the only time cricket featured in those games) were not given ODI status, but listed on the A-list.
India and Pakistan competed with second-string teams (the main teams were facing each other at the same time).
