The European Championships are held bi-annually. The last ones were in 2006 in Scotland. The matches between Ireland, the Netherlands and Scotland were considered full ODI's, and these results are used in the ODI ratings. The ratings here are based on the matches between these sides and Denmark and Italy. Previously, a team called ECB (England Amateurs) competed. Again, in 2008, the matches between Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands were ODI's, and these ratings reflect only their matches with Denmark, Italy and Norway

Tournaments included:
The second division in 2006 was played by eight countries. Italy, Austria and Portugal have previously competed in division 2. Greece's results in 2006 were scrapped because they used ineligible players, but I used their results here anyway. Israel should have been demoted outright, but the drop of Greece meant there was an extra place for grabs. Israel played off against Croatia, and lost. That match is included in these ratings. Jersey played 3 matches in Italy and won two (the third was abandoned). Included here are the inter-insular match (Jersey v Guernsey) of July 2008 and the division two championships of August 2008.

A fourth division has been created but has been played just once so far, in 2004. Before that, in 2000 and 2002, there were "representative" tournaments, with teams not yet in the official structure.
