I mainly make two types of instruments, traditional wooden ‘Irish’ flutes, and bagpipes. The wooden flutes in D are made in three different types, based on Rudall&Rose, Pratten and my own version. Each of them comes in keyed and unkeyed versions. On demand, I also make on demand copies of other instruments such as Fentum, Clementi and others. Besides the (standard) D flute, I also make flutes in next to every other key, especially (low) Bb, (low) C and Eb. Smaller flutes and fifes are available in F, G, A, Bb, C, D, Eb and high G. The wood used is African Blackwood, but I also love to use boxwood and I make ‘superior class’ instruments in Cocus wood. The bagpipes I make are two different types: a bagpipe in D based on late 19th century English pastoral pipes (the predecessor of the Uillean pipe) on the one hand, French style bagpipes in different keys on the other hand.
