Luc Berkelaar, member of the Dutch ´Yamaha 650 twin klub Nederland´ had arranged a portable dynojet motorcycle power tester at this meeting. I jumped to the occasion, and here is how we got the sidecar on. Sidecar is very light, just one person holding it up and putting it down on a table we improvised to put next to the trailer the dynojet is mounted on. |

Being lucky:
Finding the bike with a flat tyre the morning after getting home from "D´n Toerstop", a motorcamping in Holland, approx 250km away.
Polled this piece of metal out of the tyre.
Makes you wonder what it is and where you picked it up. |

Not that it would have been a big problem to repair underway - I carry tools for that. But it is more practical at home, where I got a machine to mount tyres.
And I don´t like the idea of having a blowout. And with the sidecar it is not so easy to find a spot where you can do the repair.
Being cheap, and not having to worry about sod all - I can just repair it like this, with a patch.
But I must stress - for your own safety, buy a new inner tyre!!! |
