Maartje Wiersema is an independent artist since 2003, after completing a five year education at Ruud Wackers Art Academy in Amsterdam. She aims at showing the richness of colors and life in all forms of nature, which may vary from fruit to flowers to animals, depending on her choice of the day!

Maartje paints with oils, acrylics and watercolors in an expressive and figurative style.
