H. reinwardtii var. reinwardtii fm. kaffirdriftensis ha89

The kaffirdriftensis form of H. reinwardtii is the counterpart of the chalwinii form of H. coarctata: it also has its tubercles arranged in nice lines. It is a dense plant which grows well in summer. It can stand a fair bit of sun but sometimes shows the ' Astroloba syndrome': a few leaves along the middle of the stem suddenly die and dry up for no reason at all.
