G. glomerata EVJ 11054
invasion of the body snatchers!
G. glomerata has some of the nicest flowers in the genus: they are the most inflated (gasteriform) of all gasterias and display an fluorescent kind of red. The plants are very proliferous as this monstrous heap is demonstrating. I'll have to split it up next year since the roots of the centre plants are no longer touching any soil.
There are short-leaved and longer-leaved forms of this species. The longer-leaved ones are very close to G. glauca (picture coming soon).
