Flying aboard the Lockheed Constellation

Years ago pilots actually walked across the ramp up the stairs, used a rag to do walk-around and stick the tanks!

Sometimes we even found Kansas City without the use of FMC, MFD or HUD!

Never locked the cockpit door or took off our belt or shoes for the TSA.

Stewardesses called us Sir and occasionally put out! The Captain signed for the aircraft and only left when he was good and ready!

You could buy a brand new Ford convertible with a month’s pay and had 18-20 days off a month to enjoy it.

Thanks to Ross Aimer at Aviation Experts for forwarding this bit of aviation history.
