NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MILITARY HISTORY DIEKIRCH

The WWII collection here is staggering. It includes an excellent full size diorama of the The crossing of the Sūre river is by 5th U.S. Infantry division. This is by far the best military museum in the Benelux and no visit to the Bulge would be complete without a visit there.

Wereth Monument

This site is dedicated to the monument at Wereth that commemorates the brutal murder of African American GI's by the SS. Besides being a monument to the murdered men it is also a monument to the service of the African American GI's of WW II and their units, which included white officers. Click image for enlargement.
