Harelbeke, Belgium, April 15th, 2005

What can a Byrds-related site webmaster do, when two musicians who played with Roger McGuinn's Thunderbyrd in 1977 come to play in a town located 15 miles from his hometown?

Rick Vito And The Lucky Devils (bass player Charlie Harrison and drummer Rick Reed) played a fantastic concert in Harelbeke, Belgium, on April 15th, 2005.

Just as at their 2003 concert in the same town, they rocked the audience from the start, and you won't be disappointed if they come to your town and you attend their concert. Their playing and their singing are faultless, and most of all, they play with their hearts and souls, as much as they do with their hands.

We were able to talk at length again (like we did in 2003) with all three musicians, before the concert, during the break and after the show. They were amazingly kind and friendly as usual, and this night will be remembered as one of the best concerts we've attended.

Rick Vito, of course, is known for playing with Roger McGuinn's Thunderbyrd, John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Delaney and Bonnie, Todd Rundgren, Little Richard, Bobby Whitlock, John Prine, Dobie Gray, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Rita Coolidge, Maria Muldaur, Dolly Parton, Bob Seger...

Charlie Harrison played bass in Roger McGuinn's Thunderbyrd, and has played with The Mindbenders, Chris Stainton, Judas Jump, Richard Marx, Rod Stewart, Al Stewart, Frankie Miller, Spencer Davis, Leo Sayer...He was a member of Poco during 5 years and recorded 5 albums with them.

Rick Reed played with The Amazing Rhythm Aces. We were unable to find other artists Rick Reed has played with, but there sure are many of them.

All songs on the CD were written by Rick Vito, except for ALBATROSS and RATTLESNAKE SHAKE which were written by

PETER GREEN from Fleetwood Mac.
