Tongariro National Park is a huge territory given by maoris to the government in 1887 to protect the place as a natural reserve. Tongariro is a beautiful volcanic centre where you can see craters, full colored lakes, springs and mountains.

Maoris are native people from Kiwiland. They have got tatoos on their faces which is part of their culture.
