Child protection policy
We in the Academy Cricket Club are committed to practice, which protects children from harm. Officers of the club, Coaches and other adult volunteer helpers with the Mini-Cricket Section accept and recognise our responsibilities to develop awareness of the issues which cause children harm.
We will endeavour to safeguard children by:
(a) Adopting child protection guidelines through a code of behaviour for all adults involved with mini-cricket.
(b) Sharing information about child protection and good practice with children, parents, coaches and volunteer helpers.
(c) Taking all reasonable steps to ensure the welfare and safety of the children engaged in mini-cricket.
(d) Following carefully the procedures for recruitment and selection of coaches and volunteer helpers.
(e) Providing effective supervision, support and training for coaches and volunteer helpers as appropriate.
We are also committed to reviewing our policy and good practice at regular intervals.
