In my young time (it's a loooooong time), in mid sixties, I builded an Airfix MkI straight from the box (maybe in 2 or 3 hours).  After this, I was happy with my model and for me it was one of my best pieces. ;-D

Since these happy years, I learned that this model is a hybrid of MkI and MkII. :-((  I found an article in Tankette (the magazine of the MAFVA) that explained how to build an accurate MkI.  But, due to a lack of time (studies, girls, job, first spouse, one child, second job, divorce, second spouse, second child, thirth child, more job, ...), I never found a moment to build this damned thing.

A pair of years ago, Emhar made a pair of MkIV and I built them.  Since this time, I 've the dream to build an accurate model of this first tank. Now it's nearly done.

My model is based on the good old Airfix, highly modified.  I rebuilt the steering wheels and its arms, added many rivets and bolts here and there, made the entire roof protection, built a new hatch and modified the roof, modified the turret for a beter look, ...

Here, you'll find some pictures of the result, before its painting
