Feianovan Language project
|
There has been some discussion about the creation of a Feianovan language in the newly created Culture forum. A guideline was passed to create this forum a few days ago, and it is already being actively used.
Sander Dieleman (me :p), creator of the Pacarian language, is working on a project that is suitable for Feianova. He will be developing the language into a stage that it is able to be used, and then the acception of it as national language will be proposed to the assembly. The development of the language will of course continue after it has been approved.
A little bit of info for the linguists among us; It will be a bit of an unnatural language, because every different word sort has a different ending. Every function in a sentence will lengthen this ending (like in latin, with the difference that there are no different endings for a certain function, there is only one). This will cause word order to be completely obsolete, which is nice for poetry and stuff.
The language will propably (like most conlangs in micronationalism) not be used actively, it will function as a "cultural element". Maybe we could translate some official documents like the common principles in it, i don't know.

Pacary Remembrance Preparation
|
Feianova (and me, more particularly) is preparing for the Pacary Remembrance day on the 8th of February. That day, it will be one Pacarian year since Pacary came to its end. On that day, special activities will take place at Feianova.
A forum has been created for the remembrance day, with a layout that resembles the old Pacary one as well as possible (I got some trouble with the stylesheets so the links aren't correct). In that forum, Pacary, what it stood for, and what it meant are going to be discussed on (also before and after) that day. Right now it's still locked, though.
There will be quite some discussion themes, and everyone is allowed to post more of them. Also, it'll be an occasion to meet friends from Pacary again, as an attempt will be made to get as many of the old citizens to come. People as Scott Noseworthy (famous for bringing the Pacarian Military to the top) and Philip Locke (for bringing Pacary itself to the top ;) ) will be there. And me of course.
Messages will be sent out to the micronations of today and to the old citizens and members of the board, to reach as many people as possible. Everyone is invited. Please drop by sometime, it'll be like the old times :).

- Some people including me and Locke went totally nuts in a big chat on AIM. It ended up in Locke creating this ezboard.
- Babkhan Shah Arashdir has abdicated, since he felt he was responsible for Babkha losing its gold community. In a chat, the new Shah Tahmaseb (congrats by the way) stated that "I don't share my sheep ;)" so we don't have to worry as of yet :).
- Should the Communal Voice be more biased? Vanguardia and the Skyline are liked for that.. what do you think? Vote and discuss here.
- Wanna place an ad in the Voice? please contact me with the ad or (when it's a graphic or so) a link to the ad on sanderdieleman@hotmail.com.
- Another Communal Voice poll, is the Assembly Update thing worth keeping up? I mean, if nobody finds it useful, it's a lost effort. Vote here, and please vote honestly.
- If I see one more Kings of Chaos link, I'm going to kill the one who put it there. BE WARNED! :p. Could you believe there are people that have the guts to EMAIL them to me! I get enough spam without em...

People said that the Communal Voice needed a quotes section... but i have absolutely no idea what to put here. Tom Cutterham gave me some nice ones, but they're not really micronational, so.. i'm sorry :(
Oh i found one

I decided to change the "Active threads" thing to "Assembly update" since i never have enough time and issues to cover all the active threads. i'd have to put out like one a day... this allows for a bit more time and such. Here i'll keep everyone up to date on the votes and debates that are up at the assembly.
PASSED:
The Assembly has passed the "transfer of responsibility" which will cause the previous exterior and interior responsibles (me and Locke) to continue their duties until the new responsibles are elected. Elections will start 4 days after the approval of the new responsiblities guidelines.
The responsibilities section of the constitution was adapted to our new form of (no) government and passed as a guideline. This clears the way for responsibility assignments that have been proposed in the meantime.
A guideline to create a Culture forum was also passed. Furthermore, the assembly approved a recognition treaty with Menelmacar and we are now waiting for their Conclave to approve it. Post counts have been abolished.
ON VOTE:
There are two responsibility assignments on vote, one for exterior duties and one for interior duties (they were passed before the FCC as bills). There is also a vote going on to get land on MCS and kuralyov's "Communal Defence Act" that was also passed before.
DEBATE:
The only thing on debate right now is the restarting of the "left alliance".
