In 1989 I obtained a university degree at K.U.Leuven. After an unsatisfactory career in education I began  The Interuniversity Special Degree 'Library and Information Science at the University of Antwerp

About the same time I started working in libraries.
My first library job was as a project leader for LIB Sprintel, a European Telematics for LIbraries project that was coordinated by C.O.B. Leuven

In 1996 I moved to IWT Vlaanderen to work as a librarian and later on also as a webmaster. Among other projects I migrated the library sytem from TinLib to BIBIS.

In 2001 I traded in Flemish civil service for federal (Belgian) civil service. I started out on a librarian job at the Federal Training Insitute. I migrated the library catalogue from an in house Access development to the LIBIS platform.
After a year I moved to the knowledge management department of the mother organisation. Most of my time is now devoted to projects that involve libraries in other federal agencies.
