Dear friends and fellow travellers,

Welcome to our “Sabbatical in South America” website.
For 365 days we are leaving the security and comfort of our cosy life. Indeed on 28 April 2004 we left Belgium and flew to Quito (Ecuador) for a one-year round trip through South America. The plan, like all great plans, is simple: we will travel through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, French Guyana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, and .... come back to Brussels safe and sound.

Do you like the sound of this master plan? Well, on this site you will be able to read about who we are and to join us virtually on our trip thanks to a travel diary and photos. In the guest book you can leave us messages, thoughts, ideas, suggestions ... and invitations to parties (wherever in SA). We will check your messages whenever there is a cybercafé around.
