First of all, thanks to the engineers of Blackmagic-design. Since their V5.7 drivers I was able to continue with this project. EyePerfect is at the moment at version 0.9 and able to play PAL and NTSC DVD's in sync. It took some hard work but the DVD player now can be configured to the PAL or NTSC standard and plays it.

One of the best features is that all the audio channels are embedded into the SDI video stream. So a DVD with 5.1 channels of audio will give 6 audio channels in SDI. This is selected by the Audio Decoder who is installed on your system. I recommend the opensource AC3Filter. This filter gives the most control over the audio streams.

The name EyePerfect is chosen because of picture quality we have with this player. We stay digital. To achieve this, I needed to embed the NVIDIA Video Decoder in the software. With this decoder you are able to control the deinterlacing of the video. Choosing Film will display the frames as the are without any extra processing.

Solved issues/features:

Audio is Lip sync. Minor timing differences can be corrected with the NVIDIA Audio Decoder.
Controlling the DVD doesn't result in a crash.

EyePerfect is developed and tested on a low performance PC with the cheapest Decklink card.
