What?

Erwin's Pages is a relatively young initiative from it's founder, Erwin "Reaper" Husin (that's me!), founded in the summer of '99. It is a modest site coming forth from the builder's desire to take his passion for computergames, and certain ones in perticular, to the internet.

Used "technologies"

Erwin's Pages is built mostly with Frontpage 2000, with some image editing with Photo Paint Pro 6 and the complementary applications Paint and Photo Editor. Image maps have recently been added, using CuteMap (and not Frontpage 2000's integrated "hotspot" function). Because of the lack of server extensions and the inability of yours truly to use Cgi-Perl, Java-Script, etc., Erwin's Pages does not have a guestbook, forum or forms. Luckily a hitcounter and a visitors program were possible within the restrictions of the webpage server. Also added are some limited DHTML effects, provided by Frontpage 2000.

Content and Target group

Erwin's Pages is a site for gamers. It contains sections of Outcast, StarCraft and Final Fantasy 7. It also has reviews of various recent, but also less recent games and a lot of links.

Handicap

Much games' sites exist on the internet. They all have one thing in common: they are updated frequently because of the very fast evolution in the computergames business: a game which used to be briliant in '97, is now hopelesly outdated. Your humble servant however is still in high school (yes, I'm "just a kid"). This is the direct reason why Erwin's Pages can only be updated, in the best cases, once in a week. Usually, updates only come everytime there is a holiday in Belgium (fall, Christmas, "krokus", spring break, summer). Another handicap is that I only have limited and relatively slow access to the internet.
