Glow project homepage

Glow is my first serious attempt to make a 3D engine. The particularity of this engine is the exploitation of portals to construct unrealistic environments. The best way to understand what I mean by this is to try the demo, you can download a self-extractible archive from here.

The engine uses intensively the stencil buffer, so make sure your 3D accelerator support this feature (8 bit stencil buffer). All nVidia video cards have this capability.

You can also check the web page dedicated to the evolution of the project from scratch.

Here are some screenshots of the engine, (don't be affraid by the framerate, I only have a TNT2) :

Demo 1 : Two rooms separated by three corridors of different sizes.
Demo 2 : Two rooms separated by a hole floating in the air.
Demo 3 : A room with stairs up and down, leading to the same room.
Demo 4 : An infinite succession of similar rooms.
