Studs Licensing at Oud-Heverlee
Stud Farm "De Molenstede" presented a young stallion at the yearly Studs Licensing in Oud-Heverlee: Darco de Valk (info). This stallion has been accepted and has thus officially been recognised as stud. His size is 69 cm.

Regional Contest Flemish- and Walloon-Brabant in Bertem
Stud Farm "De Molenstede" participated to the Regional Contest with 1 stallion and 2 mares. Hereafter the nice results:
Chadi de Valk - 1° Price "Small-size stallions" (info)
Caprice van de Molenstede - 3° Price "Tall-size mares" (info)
Charonne van de Molenstede - 3° Price "Mid-size mares" (info)
All these ponies obtained a CAC/GGK (admission to participate to the National Championships).
Furthermore, our stallion Boudewijneke van 't Barreeltje (info), Belgian Champion 2011, was presented to the public.

Belgian Championships 2011 in Ghent
The ponies of Stud Farm "De Molenstede" were very successful at the Belgian Championships 2011. We have participated with 1 stallion and 1 mare.
Our youngest stud Urban Hero van 't Barreeltje became Belgian Champion 2006 in the "Mid-size stallions" series. He is our third Belgian Champion (after Quatro van Ninde in 2003 and Urban Hero van 't Barreeltje in 2006)

Regional Contest Antwerp in Nijlen
At the occasion of the Regional Contest of the province Antwerp, Stud Farm "De Molenstede" has presented 2 mares for licensing. Both mares have been accepted:
Yalenka van de Molenstede - 83 cm (info)
Zina van 't Nippershof - 81 cm (info)
As the contests at the Regional Contest in Nijlen are preserved to the participants from the province Antwerp, the above-mentioned mares did not participate to those contests. Therefore, they will in principle participate to the Regional Contest for the provinces Flemish- and Walloon Brabant in Bertem later this year (Saturday September 27, 2008).

Belgian Championships 2008 in Brussels
Stud Farm "De Molenstede" has participated to the latest Belgian Championships with three mares.

Wyona van de Molenstede - 4° Price "Small-size mares" (Series A) (info)
Teska van den Dielishoek - 4° Price "Small-size mares" (Series B) (info)
We are also very proud to announce that Winytout van de Molenstede, a stallion which was born at our stud farm, has been elected Belgian Champion 2008 in the category of the "Mid-size stallions". Winytout (born on 29/04/2004) is a son of Quatro van Ninde (Belgian Champion 2003) and Rika van de Put. When he was a foal, Winytout was sold to our neighbours of "Stud Farm 't Ribohof" (Rita van Malder en Bob Raymaekers). We are of course, together with Bob and Rita, very pleased with this result.

Besides our own ponies' results, we are also happy with the result for Winytout van de Molenstede. Winytout was born at our stud farm (born on 29/04/2004 - S: Quatro van Ninde - M: Rika van de Put). We are proud and happy to announce that Winytout was the winner in the category of the "Mid-size stallions". Regional Contest Limburg in Alden Biesen
Honorary Championships
At the occasion of the Regional Contest of the province Limburg in Alden Biesen, the Belgian Shetland Pony Stud Book Society has organised again, after an interruption of 2 years, the Honorary Championships. The participants to these Honorary Championships are all ponies which have won in the past the Belgian Championship. As such, the former champions have the possibility to present themselves once again to the public. It is also an occasion to measure one's strength with other champions. The very best ponies meet again at the Honorary Championships ...
Being the proud owners of two champion stallions, Stud Farm "De Molenstede" of course participated to the Honorary Championships. We are very happy and proud to announce you that Urban Hero van 't Barreeltje, our youngest stud which became Belgian Champion 2006 (cf. the message of December 10, 2005 below), has won the title of Honorary Champion 2006.

As the contests at the Regional Contest in Alden Biesen are preserved to the participants from the province Limburg, the above-mentioned mares did not participate to those contests. Studs Licensing at Oud-Heverlee
Stud Farm "De Molenstede" presented a two years old stallion at the yearly Studs Licensing in Oud-Heverlee: Urban Hero van 't Barreeltje. This stallion has been accepted and has thus officially been recognised as stud.
His size is 69 cm. As a result, he is the smallest adult Shetland Pony of our stud farm.
